Higher education from futures studies point of view is a driving force in social, economical and political changes and futurists believe it helps society to create and achieve its preferable image of future.
The role of higher education in development and extension of human knowledge in different areas epistemologically is one of the main reasons for futurist confidence to higher education. Therefore evaluation of higher education institutes to achieve quality assurance
is of importance.
In this book, firstly the terminology of evaluation of higher education was analyzed to get a commonality with the readers. Thereafter US, Denmark, Japan and Pakistan experiences in evaluation of higher education were surveyed. Based on the commonality of the mentioned countries experiences and considering the requirements of Iran higher education, a model and its related indicators have been proposed for evaluating higher education in Iran. Finally the experts ideas about the model and indicators were questioned by questioners to validate the proposed model and indicators.
