In addition to the role of educational institutions play in humanity, human civilization and shaping the cultural life, we are witnessing the formation of a competitive environment among higher education institutions, especially universities to achieve the top global position. The basis of this competitiveness is on credibility and quality of training provided to us. The credit obtained through comparison and evaluation of higher education institutions outcomes to each other. Hence the evaluation of the higher education system in order to achieve the ideal future status is one of the major preoccupations of key actors in this area. In this book, from the perspective of future studies attempt while monitoring developments relevant mechanism, indicators and models of assess the higher education system in selected countries provide a description of the status quo and then according to the results of this study provide prescriptions to achieve the desired future of higher education in Iran. To achieve this goal, this book is organized with an introduction, four chapters and a conclusion. In this book, by scanning trends ruling in higher education evaluation in selected countries in terms of identifying models, patterns, indicators and evaluation mechanisms have been tried to provide underlying theoretical and conceptual necessary to enhance the role of higher education Iran. For this purpose, in the first chapter have been studied the concept of evaluation and its typology, in "Chapter II" studied experience in selected countries. In this study, the key actors of higher education evaluation in each country identified and then has been extracted the pattern and parameters of the institution to evaluate higher education system of the related countries. The "third chapter" reviews the results of comparative and adaptive study of selected countries and based on their common features in "chapter four" is provided model and indicators to monitor and evaluate the situation of higher education in Iran and has been validated by experts in Iranian higher education.
