Complex systems are systems that are composed of diverse, independent, and interconnected components that are adaptable. Complex systems and complexity theory are considered new domains and are the source of many scientific disciplines. Important features, such as the creation of major events and innovation, are one of the most important reasons why decision-makers and policy makers are interested in the study and analysis of complex systems; on the other hand, futures studies are emerging as a new issue in the decision-making process. Given the fact that many of the systems considered in the decision-making process are complex systems, the future approach to such systems should be further analyzed. This book has been designed with a view to a more accurate study of futures in complex systems.
